According to Fanta, the latest disagreement occurred on Saturday, July 4, 2026. She alleged that Richard gave Lorpu Kollie money for safekeeping. Later, Lorpu reportedly removed L$1,500 from the money and instructed her daughter to use it to purchase a puppy.
Fanta alleged that Richard later requested the money and became angry after discovering the missing amount. She said the disagreement quickly turned into a heated argument.

Fanta further alleged that at approximately 6:00 p.m., Richard accused her brothers of interfering in the couple’s relationship before allegedly attacking Lorpu Kollie.
According to her account, Richard allegedly stomped on Lorpu Kollie’s stomach during the confrontation. Fanta claimed she tried to intervene but could not stop the alleged assault. She also alleged that Richard locked both of them inside a room before continuing the attack.
Family members later transported Lorpu Kollie to a healthcare facility in Gbarnga, where medical personnel immediately began treatment. Despite their efforts, she later died from her injuries.
The Liberia National Police Bong County Detachment has taken Richard into custody while investigators continue reviewing evidence, interviewing witnesses, and awaiting additional findings from the ongoing investigation.
